About Safeshow, Inc.

SAFESHOW, INC.®

Learn more about the SAFESHOW pepper spray unit

** What is pepper spray?
Pepper spray is a non-toxic self-defense product derived from hot cayenne peppers, the same type of peppers used when cooking.  Our pepper spray contains 15%  Capsaicin* as the active ingredient. This in turn produces a defense spray measuring 2 million Scoville Heat Units*.

  1. Capsaicin is the oil extracted from the placenta tissue just below the stem of the hot pepper.  Capsaicin determines the pungency of the red peppers.  The pungency of these peppers is measured in Scoville Heat Units (SHUs) and is not to be confused with OC percentages.  OC percentages only measure the amount of pepper.
  2. Scoville Heat Units is also known as the dry weight of Capsaicin in the spray.  2 million SHUs is the maximum amount of pungency contained in any defense spray.

** What are the effects when sprayed?
An individual encountered with SAFESHOW pepper spray will experience the following:

  • Ø Temporary blindness
  • Ø Tearing and burning of the eyes.
  • Ø Shortness of breath
  • Ø Becoming light headed, confusion and disorientation

**When should SAFESHOW pepper spray be used?

  1. Use SAFESHOW pepper spray ONLY for your personal protection and self-defense, if you feel like you could be in danger!  The use of this substance for any other purpose other than self-defense is a crime under the law!
  2. Carry the SAFESHOW pepper spray product EVERY TIME while showing a house!  Carry it with you through the entire showing and return it for the next agent when finished.  After the pepper spray is deployed into the attacker's face, immediately run and call for help by your local police!

** How should the SAFESHOW pepper spray product be used?
If in danger, spray in attacker's face.  When sprayed in the face, it causes temporary blindness and restricted breathing, coughing and dis-orientation for at least 30-45 minutes.  To activate the pepper spray unit, turn the actuator to the firing position and aim at the attackers' eyes, nose and mouth.  Then, depress the actuator button.  Try to shield ones' own face if firing in the wind.
